MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCACY
Mental health challenges affect everyone and I believe that my efforts in rallying community around such a cause can make a positive impact at the individual level.
My experience tending to my own mental health has seen that an emphasis on “team” is what has created room for my own personal growth. This support in combination with my own accountability has allowed me to learn and progress.
My hope is that by creating discussion and encouraging openness, kindness, and compassion — we are able to both seek and offer support when times get tough.
PERSONAL BEST DISCUSSIONS
In September of 2020 I decided the best way to encourage discussion surrounding mental health — was to engage in discussions myself. This led to filmed discussions with: previous teammates, mental health professionals, and beyond to people who thought they too could contribute in the same way. The journey kicks off as my mother and I discuss whether mental health best benefits by donated funds, or by creating discussion as we do in the video.
